Today was an EPIC day on the north shore of Kauai…
It was supposed to rain heaps and buckets, usual for this time of year. We were planning on hitting the ag caves starting over at Wailua Arboretum but decided to stay closer to home on the North Shore. Start early, go hard and get after it! We picked Hihimanu (Manta Ray in Hawaiian).
The three adventurers today were Thai and Eric and myself. The Hihimanu ridge is one of the most prominent ridge lines you can see from just about anywhere from Kilauea to Haena. We had to get to the top! Just to give you an idea, it’s the twin peaks on the left of this picture below and is about as close to the Namolokama falls you can get.
3 hours, 32 vertical rope climbing spots (don’t know how many miles) and a ton of sweat later…. there was this!
Oh yeah… Just another day in paradise. Hope to see you here soon!
