Kilauea Area Guide
Located on the North Shore of Kauai is one of the most beautiful and eclectic areas on the island, Kilauea District. Situated at the northern most point of the island is the visitor mainstay is the Daniel K. Inouye Kilauea Point lighthouse. With its postcard appearance and morning photo opportunities this location is only a short distance from two very different living experiences.
The gated community of Sea Cliff with estates and awe-inspiring ocean views offers private settings with close proximity to town. The old plantation town of Kilauea combines the small town feel and since of community all in one. Complemented with shops, a neighborhood bakery, restaurants and more this is where the local experience can be felt.
You know you have found home when your weekend decisions consist of “what beach are we going to today”. Choices like Secret Beach, Anini Beach, Kalihiwai Beach, and Rock Quarry create a diverse ocean experience. These beaches are the fancy of several homeowners and opportunities with breath taking ocean and coastal views. Farmers markets on Monday, Thursday and Saturday provide ample opportunities to buy fresh produce. If town and ocean views are not your fancy the mauka lands might meet your expectations. Farms, horses, land and beautiful estates sprinkled across the countryside might just do it. One of the areas is Kalihiwai Ridge and Namahana Farms. With the majestic views of Namahana and Namolokama Mountains, morning rainbows and incredible mountain sunsets, the ridge is a very tranquil place to escape to. Added to the areas experience, there is Mini Golf and the Wai Koa Loop Trail along with the old Kilauea Dam; there is no shortage of adventure. This north shore community combined with ample living experiences and Aloha makes this area one of the desired places to be on Kauai.
