The elementary schools on the Garden Island are a great place for our Keiki (children) to learn and grow. There are more elementary schools on Island than middle and high schools. They are located all across the island from as far west as Kekaha to as far north as Hanalei. Your child can attend one of the many public elementary schools or attend one of the several private schools on island, such as Island School or Kauai Christian Academy.
If your child is of age to attend a middle school, there are plenty of options on the island including private schools. Pu’ukumu School, Kapaa Middle School and Waimea Canyon Middle School are all great options. The middle schools in our local area offer a great education, along with a beautiful environment to learn in. For instance, Kapaa Middle School is on the East Side of Kauai located atop a hill on an 18-acre parcel of land. Five different elementary schools feed into this middle school making the attendance around 620 currently.
There are only five high schools on Island, three public and two private. These schools all strive for excellence not only in acadeimcs, but also in sports. There is quite a rivalry between schools when it comes to playing football or basketball. Kapaa High School is located next to the Kapaa Elementary School, and not too far from a favorite local beach, Kealia Beach. Kauai High School, which is currently undergoing renovations, is located atop a plateau overlooking Kalapaki Bay. Waimea High School, located on the west side of the island, is walking distance from the Waimea Bay.
Yes! We do have a great community college here on island, located in the heart of Lihue. They have plenty of regular classes for students to further their education along with some amazing programs in Film, Technology, The Arts and Hawaiian Studies.

This is the second transaction we have done with Billy and Louis. Just like the previous project it was done perfectly. Working together (agent and client) is very important. They understand this and makes sure communication and understanding are frequent and timely. We have one more property to sell and you bet we are using Billy and his team for that one also.
I accepted a job in CA at a time when I wasn’t really expecting to relocate. To complicate matters my house had some uncompleted projects that would need to be finished before it could go on the market. I had a short time frame to complete my relocation and therefor I didn’t have time to interview contractors or stay around to supervise the work. I contacted Billy and he told me not to worry about as he could handle coordinating both repairs and the sale of the house. He said the most important…
Our experience with Billy O’Sullivan could not have been better. He learned what we were looking for in a home, showed us homes that met that criteria, and worked with us through somewhat difficult negotiations. he was extremely helpful in helping us learn the market and the island, I would recommend Billy O’Sullivan without reservations.
We’d been considering buying an investment property in Kauai for some time and signed up for Billy’s alert service to track listings and sales in the area. When we were ready to explore the opportunities and kick the tires on-site in Kauai, we didn’t consider calling anyone other than Billy. Prior to our visit, Billy and his associate, Ann Luckett, quickly put together a list of potential properties that met our criteria and then efficiently moved us through all of the available homes in less th…
